Like every other plump girl in school, I was reluctant to get out into the sun or move my body during physical training classes. It was the lessons I dread the most and would find any excuse I can to miss them. I went through a weight loss journey, and after ending the dietary plans, I was confused about what to do next to lose some more weight. I wanted to include exercise as an option early on, but lack of exposure combined with pandemic restrictions made me give up. But I have arrived at a point where I want to include holistic nutrition and go about an eating pattern that will be a lifestyle without restricting and without a calorie deficit. I tried to follow all the exciting exercises as I can but for a day or two. It would end there. I would lose my mind and energy, and the cycle will go on. As a novice to exercising, a few things I have observed are

Start small and slow. The most important thing at the beginning is to get your body moving and heart rate up. It’s always better to take help from a professional. If not, you need to be careful about the postures you take. Even for the easiest of the exercise, form is essential. Otherwise, it would turn harmful in the long run.

Opt for a form of movement form that you are comfortable with, be it Zumba, Cardio or anything else and get your body moving. Stick to it, and once you become regular, you can move into heavier exercises.

Weights and strength training are essential for fat loss and toning. Weight training isn’t going to turn you bulky but help in building strength and muscle mass.

Warm-up, Cool down and take rest days. Do not miss eating esp Proteins to repair your body. Remain hydrated. Don’t push yourselves to the breaking point at the beginning.
