Fish Nirvana by yours truly.

I never enjoyed cooking though my family has several gifted hands. Studies and work phase took away the time for possible experimentations for survival. One fine day, after settling down, it came upon me that I had to begin cooking out of health concerns. As it’s something I have never tried, I was reluctant and worried about throwing all food out if the cooking went wrong.

Here are a few things that helped me lay a solid ground in cooking.

  1. Accept that anyone, including you, can cook.
  2. Choose uncomplicated recipes with lower cooking time and kind people to feed during the practice phase.
  3. Cooking, in the beginning, is as good as a lab experiment, so pay attention to your chosen recipes.
  4. Get yourself a set of measuring spoons and cups and practice using them; you can move out of the habit.
  5. Plan the recipe and get ingredients beforehand.
  6. Pick 1/2 essential recipes and get good with it than trying out too many at a time.
  7. If you can convene with elders and friends, ask for tips and tricks tested over time.
  8. It’s okay if one recipe fails. There are so many out there you can keep trying with.

Happy Cooking!
